Corrections Policy

This site publishes procedural and price data that changes often — government fees, exchange rates, office requirements, deadlines. We work from official sources and verify pages on a rolling schedule (each verified page shows a “last verified” date), but errors happen. When they do, we fix them quickly and visibly.

Report an error

Email stu@livinginguatemala.com with:

  1. The page URL
  2. What’s wrong
  3. If possible, a link to the official source showing the correct information

What happens next

  • We check the claim against the official source (SAT, RENAP, the relevant ministry, Banguat, etc.).
  • If confirmed, we correct the page and update its “last verified” date.
  • For material errors — wrong fees, wrong legal requirements, wrong deadlines — we note the correction on the page itself.

Substantive corrections are typically published within 2-3 business days of confirmation.

Our sources

How we collect and verify data is documented in our methodology. Every trámite page links to the official sources it’s based on.
