If you're in Guatemala City zones 1-25 → PMT Ciudad de Guatemala. Villa Nueva or Mixco corridor → PMT Villa Nueva (most active). Carretera a El Salvador / Cerro Alux → PMT Santa Catarina Pinula. For other municipalities, search Facebook for 'PMT [your municipality name]'.
Why is the data on Facebook instead of a unified map?
Each PMT publishes independently to its own social channels. Guatemala doesn't have a centralized municipal-traffic API. We embed the official feeds here so you can scan all three at once instead of jumping between profiles.
What's the fastest way to know about an accident or closure?
Twitter/X tends to be fastest for breaking PMT alerts (PMT Villa Nueva and PMT Santa Catarina Pinula are active there). Facebook posts often include images and route detail. PROVIAL 1517 is the operator-staffed emergency line for highways.
