From Lake Atitlan, the three scheduled Panajachel-to-Copan offers run via Antigua: AtitlanTour lists US$65 per person, Guatemala Transportation US$68 per person and Casa Alegre US$70 per person, checked 25 October 2026. AtitlanTour and Guatemala Transportation explicitly include an overnight in Antigua with the hotel excluded; Casa Alegre also excludes the hotel and lists an afternoon lake departure followed by an early-morning Antigua departure. The Panajachel departure therefore does not promise arrival in Copan that evening.

Quick summary

  • Lake departure: AtitlanTour, Guatemala Transportation and Casa Alegre list 04:00pm from Panajachel, checked 25 October 2026.
  • Antigua connection: AtitlanTour specifies 3:30am next morning; Guatemala Transportation’s through-ticket says 4am, but its separate Antigua row says 03:30am.
  • Accommodation: the hotel is excluded from those connecting offers.
  • Separate catalogue price: Ajachel lists Q750, checked 25 October 2026, without departure, duration or overnight details in the item.
  • Passport: the Honduras embassy says travelers outside the named CA-4 nationalities need a passport valid for at least 6 months, with the applicable visa category also checked.

Panajachel departures and fares

All fares below were checked 25 October 2026. They are separate seller quotations; the Ajachel catalogue item does not establish a per-person basis or the same connection arrangements as the other offers.

Ajachel Travel Agency’s Panajachel-to-Copán Honduras catalogue lists Q750, checked 25 October 2026. Its item does not state departure time, total duration, border crossing or overnight arrangements. That price alone cannot establish that it includes the connection described by the other sellers.

The Antigua overnight and the conflicting departure time

The overnight matters when arranging accommodation: AtitlanTour and Guatemala Transportation expressly exclude the Antigua hotel. Casa Alegre’s listing also excludes the hotel. The published transport price therefore does not provide an included room between the lake departure and the onward shuttle.

Guatemala Transportation’s through-ticket note says the journey continues at 4am. On the same schedule, its standalone Antigua-to-Copan Ruinas listing gives 03:30am and US$50 per person (Guatemala Transportation, checked 25 October 2026). Those times disagree. Ask the seller to confirm the departure attached to your booking before arranging the Antigua overnight.

AtitlanTour explicitly gives 3:30am the next morning for its onward departure. Casa Alegre gives 3:30am for the Antigua–Copan leg. None of these checked Panajachel listings states the full elapsed journey duration, so there is no sourced lake-to-Copan arrival time to promise here.

Starting elsewhere on Lake Atitlan

The through-ticket prices here start in Panajachel. The checked seller listings do not establish a San Pedro-origin through-ticket to Copan. Ask the seller whether your booking starts in Panajachel or includes a transfer from your town; do not assume that transfer is part of the quoted fare.

The Lake Atitlan lancha routes guide covers the boat leg separately. The Guatemala and Antigua to Copan transport guide covers the onward journey from those origins.

Honduras documents, visa fees and El Florido

The Honduras embassy’s entry guidance, checked 25 October 2026, says citizens of Nicaragua, Guatemala and El Salvador may present national identification or a passport under CA-4. Other nationalities must enter with a passport valid for at least 6 months, with the applicable tourist visa category also checked. The national-ID provision is not a general exemption for foreign travelers staying in Guatemala.

The embassy’s British consular guidance lists US$30 for a single visa and US$60 for a multiple visa, checked 25 October 2026. These are consular visa fees, not a universal land-border entry charge. Check the requirements for your passport separately from the shuttle booking.

The checked seller descriptions do not identify El Florido as the crossing for each Panajachel ticket, and neither the embassy page nor the Honduras immigration homepage establishes a universal entry charge there. Confirm the crossing and any applicable official charge separately with the seller and immigration authorities.
