Antigua to El Tunco & El Salvador Beaches: Shuttle Times & Prices [2026]

El Salvador’s Pacific beaches are one shuttle ride from Antigua, and three sellers publish the trip: AtitlanTour at 05:00 for USD$48, the cheapest published fare; Guatemala Transportation at 05:00, one fare for five stops; and Adrenalina Tours at 09:00, door to door. All three were read on 24 September 2026.

Antigua ↔ the beaches

AtitlanTour’s USD$48 is the cheapest published fare of the three sellers. Tell the operator your town when you book.

Adrenalina asks for bookings 48 hours ahead. Its two prices are the seller’s own contradiction; confirm the total when you book.

If you want San Salvador or Santa Ana instead

From Antigua, door to door. Adrenalina Tours sells shared shuttles that pick up at hotels in Antigua and drop off at hotels in the Salvadoran city (its Antigua shuttle page, read 24 September 2026; book 48 hours ahead):

For San Salvador city, four sellers now publish a daily shuttle from Antigua (Adrenalina at 09:00 among them, USD 55 in its details and USD 50 on its card); all four, with prices, drop-off points and the way back, are compared on Antigua to San Salvador.

From Guatemala City. Guatemala Transportation’s Pullman services leave from the capital, not Antigua (its schedule, re-read 24 September 2026):

Every other capital-to-capital operator, with its fare and terminal, is on Guatemala City to San Salvador.

At the border

The listing does not name the crossing. The four Guatemala–El Salvador crossings, with SAT’s hours, are compared on El Salvador border crossings.

Guatemala Transportation’s listing for its Guatemala City services notes “Border crossing – Entrance Tax, personal tax.” It does not publish the amount. Other sellers on the Antigua–El Salvador runs do print small extras, not an official fee schedule: Gekko Trails Explorer lists US$1.00 per passenger for the immigration office to process pre-checks, Shuttle Nation US$1 cash, and Bigfoot Hostel USD 2-5 cash (all read 2 October 2026; details on Antigua to San Salvador). Carry small dollar bills and confirm the figure with your operator when you book.

Which beach town?

AtitlanTour’s and Guatemala Transportation’s stops each share one fare, so on those shuttles the choice costs nothing extra. We do not describe the towns or publish surf lesson, board rental or accommodation prices for them: none of that is published by a source we can cite.

Practical notes

• Reservation with partial or complete payment is required by Guatemala Transportation.
• Paying in dollars vs quetzales: the operator states “ALL prices are in USD$ (for reference), USD$1 = Q8 Quetzales.” Banco de Guatemala’s reference rate on 22 July 2026 was Q7.62466/USD, so paying cash in quetzales at the operator’s rate costs about 5% more. El Salvador itself uses the US dollar, so carry dollars for the far side.
• AtitlanTour and Guatemala Transportation both leave at 05:00; Adrenalina’s 09:00 is the later option.
