Quick summary: Altiplanos lists Quetzaltenango to Tapachula at 07:00 with a printed fare of $45. This city-to-city offer differs from the self-transfer information in the El Carmen–Talismán border guide; the Altiplanos Tapachula row does not identify its border crossing.

Keep the dollar sign as the operator prints it: the row does not establish whether to label this USD or another currency, or whether it is charged per person. Ask Altiplanos for the payment currency and final amount; the page lists +502 4748-6952 and says it is open 24/7.

Departure point and journey time

Altiplanos’ general information says all its shuttles are door-to-door, picking passengers up at their homestay, hotel or wherever they are, and that its shuttles can run any day, though some routes have a minimum number of people. It does not say whether Tapachula is one of those routes, or where in Tapachula it drops off, so ask for both. The route row supplies a departure time but no duration or arrival time, so this page gives no calculated arrival.

The same timetable lists El Carmen Border (07:00, $35) and Tecun Uman Border (07:30, $35) as separate destinations. Those entries do not establish which crossing the Tapachula service uses. Confirm the crossing, vehicle changes and border waiting arrangements with Altiplanos.

Xela Adventure’s Quetzaltenango shuttle list also names Tapachula, marked “Mínimum require”, with no departure time or price shown (read 31 October 2026).

Before reserving

Ask whether the 07:00 service runs on your date with the passengers booked, what luggage is included and what documents the seller asks passengers to carry. The route row does not establish entry eligibility or immigration requirements; a transport listing is insufficient evidence for those rules.
