Transportes Galgos is one of the best-known names in Guatemalan intercity bus travel, and in 2026 it is also one of the hardest to actually book. On 12 September 2026 the company published no website, no fare table, no schedule and no phone number we could reach. So this is a status page, not a fare page: what a traveler searching for Galgos can genuinely book today, and what nobody can currently confirm.
Transportes Galgos quick summary: No working Galgos website (seven candidate domains fail DNS), no published fares, no published schedule, no operator phone number, no online sales anywhere we checked. The Zona 1 address the brand is known for — 7ma Avenida 19-44 — is published today as a terminal of Autobuses Cristóbal Colón (Mobility ADO), phone +502 2415 8989, and that terminal sells Guatemala City to Quetzaltenango online. Whether Galgos was absorbed, ceased operating, or only went dark online is unresolved.

The terminal, and who sells there now
The address travelers associate with Galgos is 7ma Avenida 19-44, Zona 1. Today, Autobuses Cristóbal Colón publishes it as one of its own four Guatemala City terminals, all under +502 2415 8989:
- 16 calle 10-03, Zona 1 (Centro Histórico)
- 7ma Avenida 19-44, Zona 1 (Centro Cívico)
- 4ta Avenida 13-60, Zona 10
- Calzada Aguilar Batres 18-35, Zona 12
Its Quetzaltenango terminal is 5ta Calle 12-44, Zona 3, phone +502 7767 5198, and the group contact centre is 1-800 835 0493 (Mon–Sat 08:00–20:00, Sun 08:00–17:00; no reservations during holiday season).
The group’s live storefront names its own operator “Mobility ADO CA” in the page state. There the station appears as “Estación Central 7a Avenida Zona 1”, and from it you can buy online to Quetzaltenango, Huehuetenango, La Mesilla, Antigua Guatemala, El Rancho, Río Dulce, Santa Elena, Poptún, El Chal and the company’s own Zona 10 station. Two classes are published, Primera and Lujo; the baggage allowance is 50 pounds with Q3.00 per excess pound, arrival is one hour before departure, and passengers over 60 get 25% off with ID (limited to two tickets per departure).
What is not published is a price list: Cristóbal Colón posts no static fare table, and we could not pull a live quote — the booking API returned HTTP 401 to read-only requests. So we quote no Cristóbal Colón fare of our own.
Guatemala City to Quetzaltenango in 2026

Guatemala City to Tapachula
Cristóbal Colón publishes a Tapachula terminal at Avenida 17 oriente número 45, Colonia Centro OCC Tapachula, plus the Mexican entry checklist for the crossing (passport; Mexican or US visa, or a Tarjeta de Visitante Regional for Guatemalans, Salvadorans and Hondurans, or a resident card; the FMM card issued on entry and required to exit; roughly US$30 for stays over 7 days). The undated agency blog board mentioned above is the only page anywhere that puts Galgos on this route — no fares, no addresses, no date — so we do not publish its times as a schedule. What we could not confirm
Stated plainly, because these gaps matter more than a guess would:
- Whether Transportes Galgos still operates under its own name. Absorbed, closed, or merely offline — no source we fetched settles it.
- Any Galgos fare, on any route. None exists in reachable form.
- Any Galgos departure time. The single board carrying the name is undated and unverifiable.
- Any Galgos phone number or terminal address published by the company itself.
- The Rome2Rio operator label tying Trans Galgos Inter to Cristóbal Colón. Neither the Mobility ADO group portal, nor the group brand list, nor either dated press article names Galgos. It is a lead, not a fact.
- A live Cristóbal Colón fare for Guatemala City to Quetzaltenango — the API refused unauthenticated reads.
One more thing worth saying out loud: older pages on this site, including our own route guides, still carry Galgos fares, departure times and a terminal phone number that we can no longer trace to any source, and search engines have been quoting them back to us. They are being corrected. Until then, treat any Galgos fare or phone number you see quoted anywhere — including from us — as unverified.
