This page puts Adrenalina Tours’ Antigua-La Ceiba shuttle, the Galaxy Wave ferry from La Ceiba to Roatán, and the TAG flight option side by side.
Quick summary
- Overland is a two-day trip. Adrenalina Tours’ Antigua to La Ceiba shuttle leaves at 04:00 on Saturdays only, sleeps you at Hostal Berakah in Copán (included), and leaves for La Ceiba at 05:00 the next day. Price US$125 per person (checked October 9, 2026); the booking widget showed it out of stock on October 9, 2026.
- Then the ferry. Galaxy Wave sails La Ceiba to Roatán at 9:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. daily: US$31 regular, US$35 first class, adult one way.
- A 05:00 start plus the stated 7 hours is 12:00, which puts the 4:30 p.m. sailing within reach on day two.
- Not in the shuttle price: an exit fee of 5 USD per person at the border and 10 USD per extra bag.
- Flying: TAG Airlines lists Roatán (RTB) and offers Guatemala (GUA) as the origin on its Roatán page, without printing a fare or timetable there.
- Going only as far as Copán? See Guatemala to Copán.

The Antigua to La Ceiba shuttle, step by step
Adrenalina Tours describes the trip on its product page as follows:
- Book 48 hours ahead. The page says the shuttle needs to be reserved 48 hours in advance, and that there is no shuttle on 25 December or 1 January.
- Day one, Saturday 04:00. Pick-up is door to door at your hotel or address in Antigua. The stated duration is 7 hours to Copán.
- Night in Copán. “First day you will sleep in Hostal Berakah (included in the price) in Copan, next day at 05:00 AM leaves the shuttle to La Ceiba.”
- Day two, 05:00. Another 7 hours as stated, ending at hotels in La Ceiba or at the ferry boat terminal.
- Luggage. One big bag and one handbag are included; each extra bag is charged 10 USD.
Two things to know before relying on it. The page gives the availability as Only Saturday, and on October 9, 2026 the booking widget showed the product as Out of stock. The operator’s phone on the same page is (502) 5308 5106. The page does not name the border crossing the shuttle uses; the Guatemala-Honduras crossings are compared on our Honduras border crossings page.

Flying with TAG
TAG Airlines lists Roatán (RTB) on its destinations page alongside San Pedro Sula (SAP), and its Roatán page opens a flight search with Guatemala (GUA) as the origin. On October 9, 2026 that page printed no fare, frequency or flight time, so this page quotes none; for a price, run a dated search with that form on tagairlines.com or ask TAG for a quote. TAG’s terms on the same site state: “TODOS LOS BOLETOS EMITIDOS O PAQUETES EMITIDOS NO SON REEMBOLSABLES BAJO NINGUNA CIRCUNSTANCA” (spelling as published), meaning every ticket and package issued is non-refundable. TAG’s domestic network inside Guatemala is covered on TAG Airlines domestic flights.
Coming back from Roatán
- Ferry: Roatán to La Ceiba at 7:00 a.m. or 2:00 p.m., US$30 regular or US$31 first class, adult one way.
- La Ceiba to Guatemala: Adrenalina’s product page sells only the Antigua to La Ceiba direction and lists no return departure (checked October 9, 2026). Ask the operator about a return before relying on one.
Borders and fees on the way
- Exit fee: Adrenalina’s page says its price does not include “the exit fee (5 USD per person) at the border”. It does not say which country charges it.
- Guatemala: Tica Bus’s migration-requirements page states: “Para ingresar y salir de Guatemala no hay pago de impuestos.” That is a bus operator’s summary, not a government notice.
- Honduras: the same Tica Bus page lists an entry tax of $3 USD for all nationalities.
- How CA-4 travel is treated for a Guatemalan stay is covered on the CA-4 border run guide.
What these sources leave out
- TAG fares and timetable for GUA to RTB: not printed on TAG’s Roatán page (checked October 9, 2026).
- Border used by the shuttle: not named on Adrenalina’s product page.
