Six Lake Atitlán hotels whose websites we read publish room rates there, and two more show quotes in their booking engines. We read all of them on 26 October 2026. In Panajachel, Hotel Atitlán shows starting rates of $ 160.00 and $ 250 and the Madevelyn Q 380.00 to Q 600.00 a night. In San Marcos La Laguna, Del Lago lists a dorm bed from Q95 a night with breakfast and Lush Atitlan at $80 a night with meals. In Santa Cruz La Laguna, La Iguana Perdida lists dorms from $14 a night (basis not stated) and Isla Verde at Q500 for a cabin. None of the pages says when its rates were set, so each is labelled with the date we read it.
Quick summary:
- Panajachel: Madevelyn Q 380.00-600.00/noche; Hotel Atitlán starting rates $ 160.00 and $ 250 (basis not printed).
- San Marcos La Laguna: Del Lago Q95-Q366 per night, breakfast included; Lush Atitlan $80-$140 a night, plant-based meals included.
- Santa Cruz La Laguna: La Iguana Perdida $14/night (dorm) to $85/night; Isla Verde Q500-Q1380 starting prices (per-night basis not printed). Boat access only, per Isla Verde.
- San Juan and San Pedro: booking-engine quotes only, for 15-16 January and 15-16 July 2027.
- Every published rate: hotel’s undated page, read 26 October 2026. Confirm the price for your dates with the hotel before you book.
How to read the rates on this page
Each rate is copied with its currency and wording as the hotel prints it. Where a hotel writes from, a starting rate is what the page shows, not the price for your dates. Where the page does not say per night, per person or what is included, this page says so instead of guessing. Hotels are grouped by village, and each hotel’s rooms are listed from its lowest printed rate to its highest; rates in quetzales and dollars are not ranked against each other. The order says nothing about quality, and these are not all the hotels in each village: they are the ones whose own site showed a rate we could read.

Panajachel
Panajachel is the departure point for the public boats to the villages below, per the hotels’ own directions. Isla Verde’s contact page recommends “catching a boat from the public Tzanjuyú dock at the end of Calle del Embarcadero”. Casa del Mundo’s FAQ adds a warning: “When arriving in Panajachel, don’t let anyone show you to a boat. They may be arranging to sell you a private boat trip, which is much more expensive.”
| Hotel (own site) | Room, as the hotel names it | Rate as printed | Basis and what it includes |
|---|---|---|---|
| The Madevelyn | San Lucas (Exclusive Suite) | Desde Q 380.00 /noche | Per night; inclusions not stated |
| The Madevelyn | Panajachel (Exclusive Suite) | Desde Q 400.00 /noche | Per night; inclusions not stated |
| The Madevelyn | San Pedro and San Marcos (Comfort); San Antonio and San Andres (Essential) | Desde Q 600.00 /noche each | Per night; inclusions not stated |
| Hotel Atitlán | Double Bed Garden View (two full size beds) | Rates from $ 160.00 | Starting rate; the page does not say per night or what is included |
| Hotel Atitlán | One Bed Garden View | Rates from $ 250 | Starting rate; the page does not say per night or what is included |
Hotel’s undated page, read 26 October 2026, for every row. The Madevelyn names its rooms after lake towns; all of them are at its hotel in Panajachel, which describes itself as a boutique hotel 5 minutes from the centre of Panajachel. Hotel Atitlán gives its address as Finca San Buenaventura, Panajachel. Its page prints the One Bed room above the Double Bed room at a higher starting rate, and does not explain the difference.
San Marcos La Laguna
San Marcos is on the boat line from Panajachel. Lush Atitlan’s FAQ lists the stops from Panajachel as “Santa Cruz, Jaibalito, Tsununa, San Marcos, San Pablo, San Juan & San Pedro (in that order)”, and says boats leave San Marcos in two directions, toward San Pedro and toward Panajachel. It puts the first boat toward Panajachel at about 6:15am and toward San Pedro at about 6:45am, and asks for small bills because a captain may not have change for a Q100 note.
| Hotel (own site) | Room, as the hotel names it | Rate as printed | Basis and what it includes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Del Lago | Dorm bed | From Q95* per night | Includes breakfast |
| Del Lago | Private room, shared bathroom | From Q244* per night | Includes breakfast |
| Del Lago | En suite room, private bathroom | From Q366* per night | Includes breakfast |
| Lush Atitlan | Luz (1 queen bed) | from $80 a night, 2 people max | Plant-based meals included (2 meals, no drinks) |
| Lush Atitlan | Cueva (1 double + 1 single bed) | from $80 a night, 3 people max | Plant-based meals included (2 meals, no drinks) |
| Lush Atitlan | Alain (1 king bed) | from $135 a night, maximum 2 people | Plant-based meals included (2 meals, no drinks) |
| Lush Atitlan | Granadilla (1 queen + 1 single bed) | from $140 a night, 3 people max | Plant-based breakfast included (2 meals, no drinks) |
Hotel’s undated page, read 26 October 2026, for every row. Del Lago, which gives its address as Barrio 3 Pachaben, San Marcos La Laguna, says its private rooms and dorm are “all inclusive of a tasty breakfast” and puts an asterisk on each rate without a footnote we could find on the page. Lush Atitlan gives its location as San Marcos La Laguna, Sololá. Its rates come from its rooms page at lushatitlan.com/rooms; the newer rooms page its menu links to does not repeat the prices, so confirm them when you book. Lush also warns that the Cueva bathroom has a low ceiling, built into the mountainside.
Santa Cruz La Laguna
Isla Verde says: “Our hotel is located on the waterfront in Santa Cruz La Laguna without access by land.” Its contact page adds: “Please note: You cannot drive to Santa Cruz Laguna, you must go to Panajachel or San Pedro and take a boat.” It says boats toward Santa Cruz leave the Tzanjuyú dock roughly every 30 minutes between 6am and 7:30pm, at Q20-Q25 per person, and suggests asking the captain for its private dock to save a 10-minute walk from the main dock.
| Hotel (own site) | Room, as the hotel names it | Rate as printed | Basis and what it includes |
|---|---|---|---|
| La Iguana Perdida | Iguana Dorms, Treehouse Dorms, Tortuga Dorms | From $14/night | The card does not say whether this is per bed |
| La Iguana Perdida | Cabana (own bathroom, small terrace) | From $50/night | Inclusions not stated |
| La Iguana Perdida | Luxury Rooms (double + extra single bed, private bathroom) | From $60/night | Inclusions not stated |
| La Iguana Perdida | Luxury Cabin (double + single bed) | From $65/night | Inclusions not stated |
| La Iguana Perdida | Family Suites, up to 4 guests | From $75/night | Inclusions not stated |
| La Iguana Perdida | Treetop Suites, up to 2 guests | From $80/night | Inclusions not stated |
| La Iguana Perdida | Lakeview Suites, up to 3 guests | From $85/night | Inclusions not stated |
| Isla Verde | Cabin with private bathroom | Q500 single, Q550 double | Starting price; the page does not say per night |
| Isla Verde | Hill Suite | Q720 for 1-4 people, Q840 for 5, Q950 for 6 | Starting price; per-night basis not printed; no cooking facilities |
| Isla Verde | Garden Suite | Q1030 for 1-4 people, Q1200 for 5, Q1380 for 6 | Starting price; per-night basis not printed; no cooking facilities |
Hotel’s undated page, read 26 October 2026, for every row. Isla Verde’s cabin page says: “Pricing for the cabins with private bathrooms starts at Q500 for single occupancy or Q550 for double occupancy.” Its booking page is an inquiry form, and it says a reservation is not confirmed until the hotel contacts you by email. La Iguana Perdida’s own site names Santa Cruz, Lake Atitlán.
Two more Santa Cruz arrival notes from places whose room rates we could not read:
- Free Cerveza says to take a lancha from the Muelle Tzanjuyú in Panajachel to Santa Cruz la Laguna, at “Q25 per person (cash only – bring small bills).” If you drive, it says to park near the Tzanjuyú dock, where it says safe overnight parking is available.
- Villa Sumaya says its center is not accessible by car, only by boat, and that public boat taxis run from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. every half hour at Q25 per person. It adds: “Ask the boat driver to drop you off at the Villa Sumaya dock, otherwise you will have a 20-minute walk from the public Santa Cruz dock.”
San Juan and San Pedro: booking-engine quotes only
Neither hotel below prints a rate card on its own site. Their booking engines did return prices when we asked for two specific dates. These are quotes for those dates only, not published rates, and no reservation was made.
| Hotel | Village (hotel’s own page) | Room | 15-16 January 2027 | 15-16 July 2027 |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Eco Hotel Uxlabil | Km 175, San Juan La Laguna | Sencilla (max 2), Doble (max 3), Triple (max 4), Cuadruple (max 5) | Book now from Q 572.06 night for each of these four types, 2 guests requested | Book now from Q 572.06 night for each of these four types, 2 guests requested |
| Hotel Mikaso | 4to Callejon, A-88, Zona 2, San Pedro La Laguna | Double (Q 350), Double - Garden view (Q 425), Triple (Q 425), Double - Lake view (Q 525), Cuadruple (Q 550), Deluxe family room - Lake view (Q 750) | Prices shown, taxes included | Every room shown as sold except Cuartos Exteriores, Q 325 with a 2-night minimum |
Quotes read 26 October 2026. Uxlabil’s quotes are starting prices (“from”) and do not say whether breakfast or taxes are included; its engine also listed an Apartamento (max 3 guests) for which we captured no price. Mikaso’s engine says: “Prices are with TAXES INCLUDED.” For 15 January it also showed four rooms that need a 2-night minimum (Single Q 225, Double - Bunk bed Q 300, Cuartos Exteriores Q 325, Appart Q 750) and its Family room for 4 as sold. The number of guests was not set on Mikaso’s engine. Uxlabil’s own site lists a spa with jacuzzi, Maya sauna and massages, a private dock, parking and free kayaks, and says it does not currently have facilities suited to guests with reduced mobility.
What the hotels’ pages do not tell you
- When the rates were set. None of the rate pages above prints a date or a season for its rates. A rate read on 26 October 2026 may not be the rate for your stay.
- Taxes. Only Mikaso’s engine says taxes are included. Laguna Lodge, whose own rates we could not read, tells guests: “Please add 12% Govt and 10% Inguat tourism tax to the above rates.” Ask each hotel whether its price includes both taxes.
- Holiday weeks. Laguna Lodge says Easter, Christmas and New Year weeks carry a 3-night minimum and a holiday-season tariff. The other hotels on this page do not mention holiday rules on the pages we read.
- Per night or per stay. Hotel Atitlán and Isla Verde print starting prices without saying per night. Ask before you compare them with the per-night rates above.
Step by step: booking a room at the lake
- Pick the village first, then the hotel. Our Lake Atitlán towns guide compares what each village is like.
- Check how you reach the hotel. Santa Cruz hotels say they are reachable only by boat; ask whether yours has its own dock.
- Ask for a written quote for your dates, with taxes, breakfast and the number of guests stated, because the rates above are starting prices on undated pages.
- Plan the boat around the last departure. The hotels’ and INGUAT’s last-boat times differ (see the FAQ above), so aim to reach the dock by late afternoon.
- Carry small quetzal notes for the boat. Free Cerveza says cash only, and Lush Atitlan says a captain may not have change for a Q100 note.
This page is travel information. Hotel rates and terms change; confirm the price, what it includes and how to reach the hotel directly with the hotel before you book.

Frequently Asked Questions
How much is a hotel room at Lake Atitlán?
On the hotels’ own pages read 26 October 2026, La Iguana Perdida in Santa Cruz listed its Iguana Dorms “From $14/night” (it does not say whether that is per bed), and Del Lago in San Marcos listed its dorm bed “From Q95* per night” with breakfast included. For private rooms, La Iguana Perdida listed its Cabana “From $50/night” (inclusions not stated) and Del Lago its private room with shared bathroom “From Q244* per night”, breakfast included; Del Lago gives no footnote for its asterisk. Hotel Atitlán in Panajachel showed “Rates from $ 160.00” and “Rates from $ 250” without saying whether they are per night or what they include. None of these pages dates its rates.
Do Lake Atitlán hotel rates include breakfast?
Two of the hotels we read say so. Del Lago in San Marcos prints Includes Breakfast under its rates, and Lush Atitlan in San Marcos lists plant-based meals (2 meals, no drinks) with each room. On the other own-site rate cards in our tables, we found no statement of what the rate includes.
Are taxes included in Lake Atitlán hotel prices?
Only one booking page we read says so: Hotel Mikaso’s booking engine in San Pedro says its prices include taxes. Laguna Lodge’s reservation page tells guests to add 12% government tax and 10% INGUAT tourism tax to its rates. The other pages do not say.
How do I get to a hotel in Santa Cruz La Laguna?
By boat. Isla Verde says you cannot drive to Santa Cruz La Laguna and recommends a boat from the public Tzanjuyú dock in Panajachel, roughly every 30 minutes between 6am and 7:30pm, at Q20-Q25 per person (read 26 October 2026). Free Cerveza gives Q25 per person, cash only. Ask the boat driver for your hotel’s own dock if it has one.
What did Lake Atitlán hotels quote for specific dates in 2027?
On 26 October 2026 we asked two hotels’ booking engines for one night on 15-16 January 2027 and 15-16 July 2027. Eco Hotel Uxlabil in San Juan La Laguna showed “Book now from Q 572.06 night” for each of the four room types with a captured starting quote, on both dates, for 2 guests. Hotel Mikaso in San Pedro showed Q 350 to Q 750 for rooms bookable for one night in January, taxes included (from Q 225 for rooms with a 2-night minimum); for July it showed every room as sold except one that needs a 2-night minimum. These are quotes for those dates only.
What time is the last boat on Lake Atitlán?
The sources disagree. Lush Atitlan’s FAQ says the last boat leaves Panajachel at 7:00 pm and San Pedro at 5:00 pm, and calls the service a little fluid. Isla Verde gives boats toward Santa Cruz until 7:30pm, and Villa Sumaya gives 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. INGUAT’s tourism development plan for Panajachel (2020-2023), cited on our Lake Atitlán towns guide, records public service ending between 16:30 and 17:00. Plan to reach the dock by late afternoon.
