Ixchel Spanish School: Spanish and salsa weeks
Ixchel’s Study Spanish and Dance programme pairs one-on-one Spanish in the morning with private salsa lessons in the afternoon: four or five hours of Spanish a day plus one to two of salsa. The school says it built the course together with a dance school in Antigua whose operator is a professional dancer and choreographer, and that the timetable can be adapted.

Going by those published prices, five extra hours of private salsa add US$70 to the 20-hour Spanish week and US$75 to the 25-hour week. Tuition includes class materials other than a dictionary. The school is at 9a Calle Oriente #5, Antigua Guatemala, and its contact details are on the programme page.
The free student classes
Ixchel. On its daily activities page, Ixchel says it organises a free salsa lesson for its students just about every week, together with a salsa school in Antigua; it lasts about an hour and is taught by a professional teacher. Activities are optional, and the school hands out the week’s plan every Monday morning, so check that week’s sheet for the salsa day.
Antigüeña. Spanish Academy Antigüeña’s rates page lists three free afternoon activities for its students. The first is a salsa class on Mondays at 5pm with Nancy, held at New Sensation Salsa, 6ta avenida norte #41 A. The school’s page is the source for that time and place; the studio’s own social pages did not show a schedule on 4 November 2026.
Neither school says the class is open to people who are not enrolled.
