TEMPO group marks temporary fluctuations expected to have a greater than 50 percent probability,
to last one hour or less each time and to cover less than half of the period; a PROB30 group is a
30 percent chance of the event; an FM (from) group marks a significant change in prevailing
conditions expected in less than an hour, and everything after it applies from that time. Other change

Is it raining in Guatemala City right now?
The first table on this page lists every report La Aurora airport issued in the 24 hours before the feed was pulled, with the weather it recorded (rain, drizzle, thunderstorm, mist). The page refreshes once a day, so for the report issued in the last hour use the aviationweather.gov link in the note under the table.
What is the difference between the airport reports and the forecast?
The METAR reports are observations: what the station at La Aurora measured and saw at that time. The TAF is the airport’s official forecast for roughly the next 24 hours. The rain chance at the bottom is OpenWeather’s forecast for the same point, in 3-hour steps, not an observation.
What does TEMPO mean in the airport forecast?
In aviationweather.gov’s guide, a TEMPO group marks temporary fluctuations expected to have a greater than 50 percent probability of occurrence, to last one hour or less each time, and in total to cover less than half of the period shown. A PROB30 group is the forecaster’s 30 percent chance of the event.
Does the airport weather apply to all of Guatemala City?
No. It is one station, at the airport south of the city centre. A report from La Aurora describes the airport, not every zone of the city.
