The 2027 Max Tott half marathon runs on Sunday 24 January 2027 at 6:30 a.m. in Guatemala City, from Cerro del Carmen to Campo de Marte over a 21 km course, according to the organiser’s race page (read 1 November 2026). For a visiting runner the date that matters is 2 November: that is when the organiser’s tier for non-Guatemalans opens, at Q230 with limited places. General registration follows on 17 November at Q230, and a last tier at Q240 opens on 13 January 2027 only if places remain.

This page covers what an international runner needs to enter: the fee tiers and their dates, the payment channels the organiser lists, the categories, the course and the expo. Every detail comes from the organiser’s 2027 page at maxtott.com, which publishes its information as graphics, and from the event listing of Sports & Marketing, the race-registration platform its Inscríbeme button links to. Both were read on 1 November 2026.

Registration tiers and fees

The organiser’s registration graphic lists seven tiers. The first six say limited places (cupo limitado); the last one, from 13 January 2027, is offered only if places are still available (“EN CASO HAYAN TODAVÍA DISPONIBLES”). Only the last tier prints a year; with the race on 24 January 2027, the September to November dates are the run-up to it.

Every tier is labelled exclusive to Bi (Banco Industrial). The foreigner tier lists maxtott.com without the note about paying with Bi cards that appears on the loyalty tiers, but the graphic does not say whether a card issued outside Guatemala is accepted there. If you do not bank with Banco Industrial, email info@maxtott.com before the foreigner tier fills to ask how a foreign card or a cash payment at a Bi agency works. Our page on Bi en Línea and Bi Móvil explains Banco Industrial’s online banking channels.

The race page’s Inscríbeme button leads to the upcoming-events list of Sports & Marketing, which shows MEDIA MARATON MAX TOTT 2027 on 24 January 2027. Its registration guide, posted 18 March 2019, says you create an account (or log in with Facebook), link your IPU, and then pay for an event under the upcoming events section with a debit or credit card. Sports & Marketing lists +(502) 2200-5252 and info@sportsandmarketing.net for help.

The race graphic marks the start at Cerro del Carmen and the finish (meta) at Campo de Marte. The map lists Guardia de Honor after Campo de Marte without explaining its role; the organiser has not published elevation, aid stations or a cut-off time on the 2027 page.

The expo

The expo, titled Antes de la meta, runs at Parque de la Industria, Salón 9, on Friday 22 and Saturday 23 January 2027, from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. The graphic does not say whether bibs or race kits are collected there. Plan to be in Guatemala City by the Saturday in case they are, and confirm with the organiser.

Planning a trip around the race

  • Arrive early. With a 6:30 a.m. start on Sunday and the expo closing at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, a Friday arrival leaves time for both expo days. Our airport transfers guide covers getting from La Aurora into the city.
  • Altitude. The course runs through Guatemala City; our altitude and elevation guide gives the city’s elevation and covers altitude sickness.
  • A second race. Sports & Marketing also lists the San Silvestre race in Guatemala City on 31 December 2026.
