Siete Altares and Playa Blanca: boat or walk
Casa Rosada’s combined tour leaves its dock at 9.30 AM, according to its page checked 25 October 2026. It requires at least 6 people interested across Livingston’s hotels and visits both destinations. Its separate price lines matter: the boat charge does not replace either admission.
Hotel Casa de la Iguana also describes a collective tour visiting both places, leaving at 9:30 and returning approximately 3:00 pm, on its page checked 25 October 2026. That return estimate belongs to Casa de la Iguana’s listing; it is not a published return promise for Casa Rosada’s tour. Casa de la Iguana says Playa Blanca is accessible only by boat.
For Siete Altares independently, Casa Rosada describes a tuk-tuk to the hanging bridge followed by a 30-min beach walk. Its alternative is a 1-hr walk to the bridge, followed by the beach walk. Casa Rosada says Siete Altares typically closes around 4:00 PM; that is an approximate hotel statement, not a guaranteed opening timetable.
INGUAT’s visitor guide, dated 28 July 2026 and checked 25 October 2026, lists Q20 per person and advises confirming admission on arrival. The Siete Altares guide covers the attraction separately. Casa Rosada advises swimwear and suitable footwear for crossing the waterfalls.
Garífuna cooking, drumming and tapado
Hotel Casa de la Iguana’s activities page, checked 25 October 2026, offers a Garífuna cooking class with Diana at Restaurante Las tres garífunas for Q125.00 per person, with a minimum of two people and tapado included. The page does not date the tariff.
That offer prices a class with food included. It does not establish what a standalone tapado plate costs. We found no published restaurant tapado price or drumming-class price on 25 October 2026, so none is quoted here.
Río Dulce gorge excursion
Casa Rosada’s Río Dulce excursion lists a Q180-per-person boat, departing 9.00 AM and returning 2.30 PM, checked 25 October 2026. Its itinerary names Canyon/Golfete, Lagoon of Flowers, Bird Island and Hot Springs. The boat leaves Casa Rosada’s dock and returns there; the operator names Marina Bruno’s as its return point in Río Dulce.
This is an excursion returning to the hotel. For the journey between the towns, use the separate Río Dulce–Livingston boat guide. The hotel’s fort admission line does not distinguish nationality, so it is not used here as a visitor admission quote; see the Castillo San Felipe guide for that attraction.
Garífuna Day and arrival planning
Congress’s decree record, checked 25 October 2026, establishes 26 November every year as Garífuna Day. For Livingston, see Garífuna Day in Livingston. The recurring date does not announce the 2026 programme, meeting point or start times.
Keep your arrival arrangements separate from activity bookings: the Guatemala City to Livingston guide covers getting there. A hotel excursion’s departure or return time is not a timetable for your onward transport.
