Who publishes prices
Most Guatemalan rental companies we checked, such as Alquileres Mi Fiesta and the rental listings on Expo Boda, publish no prices on their websites. Alfa y Omega Alquileres y Banquetes (0 Avenida 5-35, zona 9, Guatemala City) is the exception: it publishes per-item and per-package prices. The canopy price below comes from a seller on MiMarket, the Micoope cooperative’s online marketplace. Use these as benchmarks when other companies quote.

Some of the chairs cannot get wet or be wiped with a damp cloth, according to the listing. The 3 m decorative umbrellas are for sun, not rain; for several umbrellas the base is filled with water by the customer and returned empty, and others must be lowered after use.

- Delivery, set-up and pick-up. Alfa y Omega’s package prices exclude freight and night pick-up; ask for them in the quote.
- Deposit and damage terms. The canopy pack asks for Q800; ask what counts as damage.
- Rain plan. Decorative umbrellas are sun-only. For the rainy season, ask for a canopy (toldo) quote.
- Headcount thresholds. Complimentary extras depend on the number of guests.
