On 24 September 2026 the 4-camera kits we list ran Q1,600 to Q2,300 (about US$210-301; others go higher) and installation Q900 to Q1,000 for four cameras (about US$118-131), so the published pieces add up to roughly Q2,600 to Q3,200 (about US$340-420) for an installed 4-camera system. If a company also sells you monitoring or alarm response, ask for its DIGESSP licence.

FixCompany gt (a Sumerlabs storefront) advertises installation from Q500, depending on the number of cameras, without a per-quantity breakdown. Stratega’s published rate works out at Q250 per camera. Kemik’s installation service was marked out of stock (agotado) on the day we read it, applies only in the capital, and the page says the price is subject to change. Systeco says it installs too, but asks you to contact it for the price.

These are the published pieces added together, not a quote. The published installation prices do not say how many metres of cable or how many floors they cover, so ask for the installer’s written quote for your house.
Monitoring, alarms and the DIGESSP licence
Guatemala’s private security law, Decreto 52-2010 (Article 41), lists among private security services both alarm-receiving centres that relay alarm signals to the public security forces (with response services) and the installation and monitoring of satellite or GPS electronic devices, or technology for protecting people and property. Companies providing private security services need an operating licence from DIGESSP.
In practice:
- If a company offers 24-hour monitoring, alarm response or a guard dispatch, ask for its DIGESSP licence number and check the company against DIGESSP’s registered-company list. How to do that is on our security guard prices page, which links DIGESSP’s list.

- If you only buy a kit and watch it on your phone, you are the monitor; the installer is doing electrical and network work, and the questions below matter more.
Before you pay: six questions
- Is the kit included, or only the labour? Kemik’s installation price excludes the kit; Stratega’s includes materials and configuration.
- How many metres of cable and conduit are included?
- Where is the recorder kept, and is there a hard disk? Several of the cheaper kits include 500 GB; ask how many days of recording that holds with your cameras.
- Wired or Wi-Fi? Wi-Fi kits cut data cabling but, as camarasdeseguridad.com.gt notes, suit places where the wireless signal is stable.
- Who configures remote viewing on your phone, and in whose name is the app account? It should be yours.
- What does the warranty cover? Stratega publishes one year on equipment and installation; Kemik’s installation page lists a warranty for factory defects only, to be claimed within 24 hours of delivery.

The published options differ in what you pay for. The cheapest 4-camera kits on the pages we read are wired Dahua DVR kits with a hard disk included (Q1,600 on sale at Systeco and Q1,699 at Kemik). Wi-Fi kits with 2 cameras and a recorder started at Q845 (Kemik). Wired systems need cable runs, which is what the installation fee pays for.
