In short: Uber Eats works in Guatemala. Its Guatemala page lists 23 delivery towns in five departments: the Guatemala City metro area, Antigua and its neighbours, Chimaltenango, Quetzaltenango and Cobán. PedidosYa names its top cities as Guatemala City, Quetzaltenango, Huehuetenango, Antigua, Mazatenango and Jutiapa. DoorDash does not list Guatemala. Hugo, then active in six countries, agreed in 2021 to sell its food-delivery business to PedidosYa’s parent, Delivery Hero, and its website now shows a hosting error. In July 2026 Uber offered to buy Delivery Hero, PedidosYa’s owner; the deal is not expected to close before the second half of 2027.

The PedidosYa column only reflects the six cities on its home page. PedidosYa publishes no full city list that we could find (its /ciudades address returned “Página no encontrada”), so a town missing from that line does not mean PedidosYa is absent there.
Uber Eats
Uber Eats’ Guatemala city page (“Todas las ciudades de Guatemala”) groups its towns by department:
- Guatemala: Amatitlán, Chinautla, Fraijanes, Guatemala, Mixco, Petapa, Santa Catarina Pinula, San José Pinula, Villa Canales, Villa Nueva
- Sacatepéquez: Antigua Guatemala, Ciudad Vieja, Jocotenango, San Miguel Dueñas, Santiago Sacatepéquez, San Lucas Sacatepéquez, Santa Lucía Milpas Altas (the page also repeats Mixco under this heading)
- Chimaltenango: Chimaltenango, El Tejar, Zaragoza
- Quetzaltenango: Olintepeque, Quetzaltenango
- Alta Verapaz: Cobán
The same page’s “Todos los países” list includes Guatemala alongside the US, Canada, the UK, Australia, New Zealand and others.
PedidosYa
PedidosYa’s Guatemala home page opens with “Enviar a Ciudad de Guatemala” and offers restaurants, supermarket, café, pharmacy, drinks, pet and shop categories. Its top-cities line reads: “Ciudad de Guatemala, Quezaltenango, Huehuetenango, Antigua Guatemala, Mazatenango, Jutiapa.”
Fees: we did not find a published delivery-fee table for Guatemala on either app’s home or city pages (read 1 October 2026). On PedidosYa’s home page on 1 October 2026, delivery was labelled “Gratis” on some restaurant cards and some carried discounts; those are per-store promotions at the moment we looked, not a fee schedule.
Hugo: sale agreed in 2021, website offline in 2026
On 14 October 2021, Delivery Hero said it had agreed to acquire hugo’s “core food delivery and quick commerce business in Central America and the Caribbean”, noting that hugo was then “active in over 40 cities across six countries: Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua, the Dominican Republic and Jamaica”. The closing was expected in the first quarter of 2022. On 1 October 2026, hugoapp.com returned a hosting error page instead of a site.
DoorDash
DoorDash’s consumer help page lists “Current Country Availability” as Australia, Canada, New Zealand and the United States.
Uber’s offer for PedidosYa’s owner
On 16 July 2026 Delivery Hero announced an Uber takeover offer. In the press release’s table, PedidosYa in Guatemala sits in the column “Businesses being acquired by Uber”. The release says “the businesses will continue to operate fully independently until closing”, that the offer needs “merger control and other regulatory clearances”, and that “Completion of the Offer is expected to occur in the second half of 2027.”

Is the Hugo app still working in Guatemala?
