Ferias in November 2026

November is famous for the Giant Kite Festival (November 1) in Sumpango and Santiago Sacatepéquez, where monumental kites are raised for All Saints’ Day (in Sumpango’s 2025 programme the giants were exhibited on poles and only the 4-metre kites were scheduled to fly; in Santiago the 2025 agenda scheduled the flight for November 2). The same day brings the Todos Santos Cuchumatán horse race (Huehuetenango), and on November 26 Livingston celebrates Garífuna Day.

Three more November dates, with what each organizer has published (checked September 30, 2026):

• Around November 15: Jutiapa’s livestock fair. The Feria Ganadera Nacional is not a patron-saint feria (Jutiapa’s patron, San Cristóbal, is in July) and does not appear in the table below: an 1870 government decree set it for November 15 (a Sunday in 2026). The municipality ran it November 8-17 in 2024 and announced that the 2025 fair would end on Tuesday, November 18; its website had no 2026 dates as of September 30, 2026. Past dates, rodeo prices and the horse parade: Jutiapa livestock fair.
• November 25: Santa Catarina. Several towns honor Santa Catalina de Alejandría that day. In Santa Catarina Pinula, the municipality describes 13 albas (dawn rites) for the 13 days of the saint’s martyrdom, culminating on November 25; in 2024 the municipal feria ran November 3-25 (Ojoconmipisto, from public-procurement records).
• Late November: Villa Nueva opens its feria. In 2025 the feria of the Inmaculada Concepción opened with a horse parade on Sunday, November 23 and ran to December 14 (La Hora); the main day is December 8. Details in Spanish: feria de Villa Nueva.
