Every municipality in Chimaltenango celebrates an annual feria titular (patron saint festival). Below is the complete 2026 calendar for all 21 ferias in the department, with dates, patron saints, and the municipality that hosts each one.

Chimaltenango City Feria 2026 (departmental capital): July 20-30

The feria of the departmental capital runs July 20-30 in honor of Nuestra Señora Santa Ana, the town’s patron saint, with the main day on July 26. According to the Ministry of Culture and Sports (SIC) registry, traditional activities include:

• Opening parade with schools, civil and military authorities, cofradías (religious brotherhoods), and community groups
• Coronation of the Indigenous Queen “Rumi Boko” (“Daughter of the God of Corn”)
• Encuentro de las Candelas — the eve celebration on July 25
• Equestrian parades, sports competitions, social dances, and concerts

Festivities conclude on July 30.
