A 4 x 8 ft sheet measures 1.22 x 2.44 m, about 2.97 m², so the Q82 board is about Q28 per m² of one face and about Q55 per m² for a wall boarded on both sides, before studs, screws, compound, tape and labour. The EPA prices are from the first page of its drywall category, read in a browser because the prices load with the page.
Before you hire: six questions
- Is the price supply and installation, or labour only? Conegsa’s listings say supply and installation.
- Which board? Ask for the brand and thickness; EPA’s prices above run from Q82 for a standard board to Q379 for a cement board.
- What gauge are the studs and channels? EPA lists a 2 1/2 in x 10 ft stud at Q22.95 and a calibre-20 stud of the same size at Q47.95.
- Is the finish included? Joint tape, compound, sanding and paint are separate items in a materials list; ask which are in the price.
- Is there a minimum? Conegsa’s prices apply from 50 m².
- Inside or outside the capital? Conegsa’s ceiling price is Q100 per m² in the capital and Q140 outside.
