Three congregations in Guatemala publish an English-language service time on their own website: the Union Church of Guatemala in zona 9 of Guatemala City (Sundays at 8:15 am, 11 am and 6 pm), Shoreline City Church in Antigua (Sundays at 9 am in English) and Iglesia del Camino in Antigua (bilingual Sunday services at 9:00 and 10:30 am). Every time on this page is copied from the church’s own channel, read on 4 November 2026.
A church appears here only when its own website or its own social page names a service in English, or a bilingual service, with a day and a time. Directory listings, travel forums and old blog posts were not used as sources for any church below.

Guatemala City: Union Church of Guatemala
The church’s home page calls it “interdenominational, international, and English-speaking” and says it has served English speakers in Guatemala for 83 years. Of the three churches here, it is the only one that calls itself an English-speaking church.
Service times
The home page lists three Sunday services, and the New to UCG page describes four styles of worship in all:
- 8:15 am, Sunday: Contemporary Worship Service, with praise and worship music. This is the service streamed live online.
- 11 am, Sunday: Traditional Worship Service, for those who prefer liturgy.
- 6 pm, Sunday: The Worship Experience, which the church describes as more interactive.
- Thursday, midday: a 30-minute Contemplative Communion Service, quiet and reflective.
Children
On the Union Kids page, Sunday School runs every Sunday from 9:45 am. During the 11 am service, children aged 4 to 11 start in the main service with their families and then move to the Anderson Room for Children’s Church. A nursery with trained nannies looks after children aged 3 and under during both morning services and Sunday School.
Online and in Spanish
The Worshiping Online page invites people to the three Sunday services in person and streams services on the church’s site, on YouTube (@unionchurchguatemala) and on Facebook (unionchurchguatemala). The Thursday contemplative service is also offered online. The Spanish page (En Español) carries the Sunday services translated into Spanish as video, posted after the live service; the live online service is in English at 8:15 am.

If you are booking a night in the city around a Sunday service, our guide to where to stay in Guatemala City compares zona 9 with the other areas, and things to do in Guatemala City covers the rest of the day. The English-language AA directory also lists a meeting at Union Church; see our AA and recovery meetings guide.
Antigua: Shoreline City Church
Shoreline City Guatemala’s Facebook page lists it as a nondenominational church. The church’s locations page, which also lists campuses in Dallas and San Antonio, Texas, gives its Antigua service times and venue:
- English service: Sunday at 9 am.
- Venue: Ezenario Histórico, 4a Calle Oriente No. 22, Antigua Guatemala.
- Spanish services: the English version of the page lists 10:30 am and 11:45 am; the Spanish version lists 10:30 am only. Both versions give the English service at 9 am.
Shoreline’s Guatemala City location, at 17 C A 18-17 Z-10 (zona 10), lists its two Sunday services (9:30 and 11 am) as Spanish services, so for English on a Sunday the Antigua campus is the one to go to.
Antigua: Iglesia del Camino
Iglesia del Camino (IDC) describes itself as people from different backgrounds who seek God together. Its What to Expect page says: “Our Sunday services are bilingual”, with each one running just over an hour.
- Sunday services: 9:00 and 10:30 am, both bilingual.
- What to expect: a casual setting with coffee, and a separate space for children.
- During the week: smaller midweek gatherings, plus an online women’s Bible study in English shared with women from other churches in the area.
- Address and phone: 6a Avenida Norte 33, Antigua Guatemala; 7740-4200.
- Denomination: none is named on the home, About Us or What to Expect pages (read 4 November 2026).

Lake Atitlán, Quetzaltenango and Flores
None of the congregations checked for this guide in Lake Atitlán, Quetzaltenango (Xela) or Flores published an English service day and time on their own website or social page on 4 November 2026, so those towns have no listing yet. Several churches in Antigua and Guatemala City also describe themselves as serving English speakers on their social pages without giving a service time; they are left out until they publish one. If you are settling at the lake, our Lake Atitlán living guide covers the towns around the shore.
How to confirm a service time before you go
- Use the church’s own channel, not a directory. Union Church lists its times on its home page, along with a WhatsApp number (+502 3022-7879). Shoreline City Church posts times on its locations page and runs the Shoreline City Guatemala Facebook page. Iglesia del Camino prints its times in the footer of its site pages and links its Facebook (IDC.Antigua) and Instagram (idcantigua) accounts.
- Read the page in the language you will attend in. Shoreline’s English and Spanish locations pages give different Spanish-service times; the English 9 am service is the same on both.
- Check what bilingual means for you. Iglesia del Camino describes both of its Sunday services as bilingual rather than listing a separate English service. Our guide to whether Spanish is enough in Guatemala covers the language side of daily life.
- Moving here long term? A church community is one part of settling in; for visas and permits, see the Guatemala residency guide.
