Look-alike official-service sites
The web searches we ran on 25 September 2026 for brand repair service in Guatemala returned sites that present themselves as a brand’s official or specialist service but sit outside the brands’ own domains. We read four:
- serviciotecnicosamsunguatemala.click, titled Servicio Técnico Autorizado Samsung Guatemala, and general-electric-en-guatemala.click, titled Servicio Técnico Autorizado General Electric Guatemala. Both quote the Q150 diagnosis above, route you to WhatsApp and list the same Panama number, +507 6933 7976.
- frigidaireguatemalaserviciotecnico.click, titled Servicio Técnico Frigidaire Guatemala Oficial, which quotes a US$30 visit and lists the same +507 6933 7976 number.
- servicioespecialista.com/lg-guatemala/, which calls itself an independent centre for LG equipment, but whose page heading mentions Quintana Roo (a state in Mexico) and whose WhatsApp number is another Panama (+507) number, +507 6803 5992.
None of the four is on the brand’s own website, so check the brand’s own service contacts before you book. If your appliance is under the manufacturer’s warranty, go through the brand’s own website or the store that sold it. Mabe, for example, lists its Guatemala service line, 502-2233-7425, and the email serviciomabe.guatemala@mabe.com.gt on mabeglobal.com (read 25 September 2026).
What to ask before the technician comes
- What does the visit fee cover, and is it credited against the repair? Servicios RR credits its Q250; the Samsung and GE .click sites say they waive their Q150 only if you take their repair (the Samsung one, the same day).
- Is my address inside the area? Servicios RR charges extra outside its Guatemala City perimeter.
- Is the repair done at home? Servicios RR and the San José Pinula advertiser both describe repairs at your home; ask before anyone takes your appliance away.
- Are the parts original or generic, and what is the warranty on labour and parts? Get it in writing.
- Will I get a factura (tax invoice)? Keep the factura or receipt; DIACO asks for proof of purchase if you file a complaint (see how to file a DIACO consumer complaint).

On 25 September 2026 the web searches we ran returned sites on .click domains titled Servicio Técnico Autorizado Samsung Guatemala and Servicio Técnico Autorizado General Electric Guatemala, quoting a Q150 diagnosis waived if you take the repair (the Samsung site says the same day). They are not on the brands’ own websites, and both list the same Panama (+507) phone number. A site titled LG Guatemala showed another Panama (+507) WhatsApp number and a heading mentioning Quintana Roo, Mexico, while describing itself as independent. Use the service contact on the brand’s own website instead; Mabe, for example, lists its Guatemala service line and email on mabeglobal.com.

Servicios RR says every job carries a written warranty on the labour, and it accepts card payments in 3, 6 or 9 interest-free instalments. Ask for the warranty terms in writing and a factura (tax invoice) whichever technician you use.
