Lent begins on February 10, 2027, and Easter Sunday is March 28, 2027; Santo Domingo publishes its procession for 28 de febrero de 2027. To carry an anda, arrange your turno with the organiser: completing Escuela de Cristo’s online data registration does not guarantee enrolment or a place.

Calendar dates identify the religious days, not a confirmed procession timetable for every church. As of 23 October 2026, the consulted Escuela de Cristo pages, La Merced Antigua, San Bartolomé Becerra, La Merced Guatemala City and Candelaria pages did not state 2027 registration dates or prices, and the Santo Domingo page did not state its 2027 sale dates, procession times or route.

Quick summary: Choose the Hermandad (religious brotherhood) and procession before registering. Escuela de Cristo separates personal-data registration from the turno itself. Santo Domingo publishes 2027 prices but currently requires in-person registration. Its turno is personal and cannot be transferred; watching does not require registration.

What a turno is

A turno is an assigned opportunity to help carry the anda, the procession float. Santo Domingo’s rules require you to be registered as a devoto (registered devotee) to carry, while anyone may accompany the procession as a spectator. Its turnos cannot be given or lent to another person. These are the association’s rules, not permission to carry at another church.

For the wider programme, see Lent processions in Antigua, Lent processions in Guatemala City and Holy Week in Guatemala.

Escuela de Cristo: register details, then check the enrolment

The Hermandad’s data-registration page and 2027 enrolment lookup perform different jobs.

  • Register or update personal information: upload a legible photograph of the DPI or CUI; minors use a fe de edad (birth certificate). Existing registrants should review their details, correct errors, update changes and complete missing fields.
  • Document conditions: the DPI photograph must show the complete document, legibly and without cropping. A minor’s recent fe de edad must have been issued in 2022 or later. The system says it rejects driving licences, attestations and other documents in this document-upload workflow.
  • Foreign nationals without a Guatemalan DPI: select the option for people who are not from Guatemala. That branch requests an identity document from your country of origin; it does not promise a turno or establish that any particular document will be accepted by other organisers.
  • Height: new devotos are instructed to enter 0 in the height field. Height is validated in person during registration. The lookup also directs people without a recorded height to attend in-person registration; that conditional message does not establish your own registration status.
  • Terms: you must provide truthful information and agree to the Hermandad’s rules. Sending the information guarantees neither enrolment nor a place in future activities. Complete the further steps at the dates and places the Hermandad announces.

To check an existing 2027 enrolment, enter the 13 digits of the CUI/DPI without spaces or hyphens. You must already have enrolled in person or virtually for Semana Santa 2027 for results to appear. The lookup can recover a lost contraseña; the page notes that this document does not replace your physical turno, and the assigned turno is personal and nontransferable.

The official site gives the location as Calle de los Pasos y Calle de Fray Rodrigo de la Cruz, 3001-Antigua, Sacatepequez, preserving its address wording. A visible lookup page alone does not establish that general sales are open.

Santo Domingo: in-person purchase and 2027 prices

This is the Asociación de Devotos de Jesús Nazareno de la Buena Muerte, at 12 Avenida 10-09 Zona 1, Ciudad de Guatemala. Its dates and prices belong to this association.

The official FAQ says turno registration is currently in person at Parroquia Santo Domingo, where a receipt is generated. A third party may buy for you only if your details are updated; the purchaser must bring your devoto code and a copy of your DPI or passport. Tell staff if your height has changed, because height is used to distribute the anda’s weight.

Published procession cards: 2027

The following are the exact card names, gender labels, prices and availability shown on the Jesús and María procession pages when checked on 23 October 2026. Availability can change; a card marked Reservado is not a general-sale offer. Spanish labels are retained so you can match them to the organiser’s cards.

For an existing reserved turno, the FAQ says its previous holder may renew during sale dates before Domingo de Carnaval. For someone without that reservation, it describes acquisition subject to availability up to the release date, Domingo de Carnaval; confirm the organiser’s release arrangements before planning around a reserved card. The association does not resell turnos left uncollected after the delivery dates.

Collection: bring the physical receipt and identification. If you lose the receipt, attend on collection day with your devoto code or identification; the published reprint charge is Q. 15.00, separate from the prices of the 2027 procession cards. If you cannot attend your turno, notify the offices as early as possible; the turno remains nontransferable.

Dress instructions on the 2027 listings

The Caballero uniform text specifies a dark formal suit, black tie, white shirt, black socks, black shoes, an optional pin and black gloves. The Dama text specifies a black madrileña (head covering), black dress or skirt below the knee, no revealing garments, black stockings and shoes, and black gloves. Check the uniform attached to your particular turno.

The Ordinario Túnica Morada card displays the same dark-suit instructions as other Caballero cards. Ask the association to clarify that card’s dress requirement before obtaining clothing.

Other organisers: separate registration rules

La Merced Antigua: its 2027 notice requires an up-to-date devoto profile before registration. Existing users should sign in and check their details; only new devotos should use the new-registration form. If your details already exist but you have no active profile, recover the password to create it. For lost access to the email account, the page gives official WhatsApp 38801887. The form includes CUI/DPI and an Extranjero label; those labels alone do not establish passport eligibility.

San Bartolomé Becerra: its 2027 preparatory notice requires updated details or a new registration. The former-devoto path is for those enrolled for its Fifth Sunday of Lent procession in 2025 or 2026; the new-devoto path is for first-time applicants and people who have not enrolled in the last 2 years. Data registration can be done only once, so check your entries carefully. If you cannot complete it, members will help in person during registration sessions. Updating or registering does not guarantee a turno.

La Merced Guatemala City: the official site offers a request service from abroad to update details and request turnos. That service’s description does not label it a 2027 sale, and it is separate from La Merced Antigua.

Frequently asked questions

What is a turno?

A turno is an assigned opportunity to help carry the anda, the procession float. At Santo Domingo, carrying requires registration as a devoto; spectators may accompany without registering.

Does Escuela de Cristo online registration guarantee a turno?

No. Registering or updating personal information guarantees neither enrolment nor a place. The Hermandad requires the remaining steps on the dates and at the places it announces.

Can someone without a Guatemalan DPI register?

Escuela de Cristo has a foreign-national option for people without a Guatemalan DPI and asks for identification from their country of origin. This does not guarantee admission or a turno.

Can I buy a Santo Domingo turno online or through someone else?

The published FAQ says registration is in person. A third party may buy for a devoto whose data are current, bringing the devoto code and a copy of that person’s DPI or passport.

What do I bring to collect a Santo Domingo turno?

Bring the physical receipt and identification. If the receipt is lost, the association says it can locate and reprint it on collection day using the devoto code or identification; the published reprint cost is Q. 15.00.
