FAQ
What does each CONRED alert level mean?
CONRED uses 4 levels: Verde (Green) means normal conditions with no active threat. Amarilla (Yellow) means a threat has been identified and a dangerous event is possible. Anaranjada (Orange) means the situation is escalating and an emergency is likely. Roja (Red) means an event requires immediate institutional response — declared automatically for sudden events.
Where do these alerts come from?
All bulletins are pulled directly from CONRED's official RSS feed at conred.gob.gt/feed/, the national disaster reduction coordinator. We aggregate, archive, and timeline them — original posts always link back to the source.
How often does this page update?
Once per day via our scraper. For real-time alerts during an active emergency, follow CONRED's Facebook (facebook.com/conredgt) or call 1566. We aim to be the historical record + at-a-glance daily reference.
