What does each CONRED alert level mean?
CONRED uses 4 levels: Verde (Green) means normal conditions with no active threat. Amarilla (Yellow) means a threat has been identified and a dangerous event is possible. Anaranjada (Orange) means the situation is escalating and an emergency is likely. Roja (Red) is declared according to the magnitude of the event, its impact on the population and the CONRED System’s response capacity; for sudden-onset events it is declared immediately.

All bulletins are pulled directly from CONRED’s official RSS feed at conred.gob.gt/feed/, the national disaster reduction coordinator. We aggregate, archive, and timeline them — original posts always link back to the source.
